Dr. Leslie Macklin

Dr. Leslie Macklin earned her Bachelors degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from The University of Western Ontario, Canada. Following this she accomplished a two year certification in Neuromuscular Therapy from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy then worked for five years in the massage therapy and accident rehabilitation field.

Dr. Leslie aspired to take her career to the next level by completing her Doctorate Degree at Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, MO. While attending Logan, Dr. Leslie shared her love for helping others by volunteering her time at the downtown St. Louis Salvation Army's Chiropractic Clinic. This clinic provided chiropractic care to the homeless and community in need.

Dr. Leslie began her chiropractic career as a family practitioner at Absolute Health Pain Relief Centers in Atlanta, Georgia prior to opening Northlake Chiropractic in April 2007.

She is board certified in Physio Therapeutics and has accomplished additional exercise rehabilitation seminars. Presently Dr. Leslie is completing the International Pediatrics Diplomate program and is certified in the Webster Technique.

Dr. Leslie utilizes a variety of adjusting techniques which include Diversified Technique, Thompson Technique, Activator, Motion Palpation and trigger point therapy in order to best meet the needs of each individual patient.

In her spare time she enjoys running and strength training. She has successfully completed the 2016 Raleigh Half IronMan, six full marathons (L.A., Atlanta, Chicago, Indianapolis, Savannah and Charlotte), six half marathons as well as the Spartan obstacle challenges. She is presently training for the 2020 Roanoke, VA Half IronMan. Dr. Leslie strives to educate her patients and athletes on the necessity of proper training and nutrition along with health and wellness care.

She is board certified and licensed to practice in the state of North Carolina.
